Whatta great smile! Do you see why a "real" smile is so much more enjoyable than those terrible "say cheese" smiles we see all too often? You can rarely get a real smile in the first ten or fifteen shots. If you want a great photograph, you have to shoot a lot of film. I know one very successful professional photographer who shot nearly 1,000 exposures to get one great image of a lighthouse! That's right: twenty-eight rolls of film for a subject that never moves (and, thankfully, never complains), just to get ONE great image! Just remember that one great shot can make you tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars! I guarantee you, the pros don't walk up to a subject, take one perfect picture, and go home. They make - at the very least - a hundred exposures for each subject, and choose the best of the lot. Sure, sometimes you can "grab" a shot that's perfect, but it's like making a hole in one; sometimes it happens, but very rarely, and only after practising your game for years. Take your time, and burn up all the film you can afford - and then some. See this article in my newsletter for more details on this.
