Obviously, time and preparation were involved here, with the costumes and posing, but the composition leaves us feeling it's too "static" and artificially set up. Usually, the first dozen shots in every photo session turn out like this: stiff and posed-looking (except when using professional models - and sometimes even then). Occasionally, it even takes a couple of rolls before the subjects "loosen up" and you can really get down to business. Nevertheless, it's a good starting shot for the session, and better shots will come when everyone feels a little more comfortable. |
